Central is a small footprint easy chair. With its rather upright but highly comfortable design, it bridges the gap between a regular chair and a lounge chair without being extensive on the floor plan.

The seat height is slightly higher than usual for lounge chairs, so sitting down or getting up feels effortless. Also, this elevated seat height makes Central a suitable match for dining table and desk height.

 

The seat shell is spacious and inviting. It balances a protective, embracing feeling with abundant room to move, gesticulate, and vary seating positions. The transition from the backrest to the armrest is structured with a seam, resulting in a shell with soft arches reminiscent of flower petals.

 

It is available with metal legs, wooden legs and a castor frame. It is also possible to order it with a round swivelling table attached, which makes it particularly suitable for workplaces, education facilities and high-frequency coffee shops.

 

The metal legs have an oval-slot profile and are placed tangental to the frame, tuning in on Centrals' modern, geometric, friendly appearance. The wooden frame/legs design corresponds to Centrals' amiable design identity. The construction is very stable and suitable for the demanding use of public areas. Despite its sturdiness, the wooden construction looks refined and handcrafted, proudly following its Scandinavian tradition of high-quality craftsmanship.
